She was predeceased by: her parents, Alec Maki and Gertrude Maki; and her siblings, Sandy, Verna, Tina, Andy, Alec and David.
She is survived by: her children, Roy Allen Nelson of Detroit and Sarah Hinokio (Keisuke) of Nagoya; her grandchild Taylor Nelson; her sisters, Alice Ryander (Jon), Lee Rowe (Bill) and Norma Virta (Bill); and her brothers-in-law, David Luusua and Jack Bell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
