He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Lida Wowenko. He is survived by: his wife Nina; his grandson Alex Starr; and his sibling-in-law Anatolij Wowenko. He is also survived by family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mandziuk & Son Funeral Directors, Inc. - Sterling Heights (3801 18 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48314). The lying in state will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (21931 Evergreen Rd, Southfield, MI 48075). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
