It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Fornasiero of Rochester Hills, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on May 1, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Jurczyszyn and Helen Jurczyszyn; her spouse Ermes Fornasiero; her children, Michael Koselansky (Jan), Joseph Koselansky (Cynthia), Marlene Rose (Larry) and James Koselansky (Kara); her grandchildren, Sara (Ben), Christine (Lauren), Eric, Kaitlin, Krystal (James), Elisha (Lance), Timothy (Jessica), Jessica (J. Scott), Jonathan (McCall), Olivia (Michael) and Andrew (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Victoria, Lorelei Pearl, Michael, Alex, Jayden, Thea, Brynnlee, Piper, Noah, Isabelle, Benjamin, Howard and Josiah; and her brothers, Leon Jurczyszyn (Joanne) and Richard Jurczyszyn (Linda). She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A rosary will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church (48115 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of floral tributes memorial contributions may be directed to the Capuchins.
