It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hanaa Gappy (West Bloomfield, Michigan), who passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Hanaa Gappy to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Asso Baka and Wadde Mazi Baka; her spouse Tofiq Abed Gappy; her child Norton Gappy; and her siblings, Sliwa Baka (late Marguerite), Salima Mekhani (late Kamel), Salomie Baka (late Amira), Husnia Bashi (late Daniel) and Altwan Baka (Aghatha).
She is survived by: her children, Rubin Gappy (Rhonda) and Robert Gappy; her grandchildren, Hanna, Peter and Gabriel; and her sibling Bahi Baka (Latifa).
A requiem service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas Chaldean Catholic Church (6900 W Maple Rd, West Bloomfield Township, MI 48322). A committal service will be held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48033).
In lieu of a memorial luncheon the family will donate to the Chaldean Sisters Daughters of Mary Immaculate.
