She was predeceased by: her father John J. Chermside; and her daughter Meghan Elizabeth. She is survived by: her husband George Birkam of Monroe, Michigan; her daughter Erin Birkam (Luis Varona) of Clarksville, Tennessee; her siblings, Paula Chermside, Leslie Thompson (Doug), Sharon Conklin (Andy), Mark Chermside, Brian Chermside (Marcy) and John Chermside (Amy); and her grandsons, Mitchell, Matteo and Luis.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Parish Church (127 N Monroe St, Monroe, MI 48162). A Mass will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the National Kidney Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association.
