With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerome Walter Wegienka of Plymouth, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 30, 2025 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Wegienka and Janet Wegienka (Zbikowski). He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Alexandrowski; his children, Alan Wegienka (Angie), Linda Theisen (Robert), Michael Wegienka (Heidi) and Judy Asher (Roy); his grandchildren, Jessica Davis (Matthew), Kathleen Szachta (Brandon), Daniel Theisen, Kevin Wegienka (Helen), Rev. Ryan Asher, Sister Solana (Monica), O. R., Maria Wegienka, Matthew Asher, Maxwell Wegienka and James Wegienka (Faith); his great grandchildren, Kennedy, Poppy, Henry, Sean, Madeleine and Cooper; and his siblings, Daniel Wegienka (Marilyn) and Mary Ann Rhode (Roy).
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home -Taylor Chapel (9800 Telegraph Rd, Taylor, MI 48180). A rosary will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 10:30 AM at the St. Alfred Catholic Church (24175 Baske St, Taylor, MI 48180). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Hope Cemetery (18303 Allen Rd, Brownstown Charter Twp, MI 48193).
