He was predeceased by: his parents, Orin "Bill" Kiel and Adeline Kiel; and his wife Virginia "Jinny" Kiel (Cooke) of Detroit, Michigan.. He is survived by: his children, James Kiel (Wendy) and Karen Dempsey (Russell); his grandchildren, Sarah Kiel George (Stephen), Matthew Metzger (Cynthia), Ariel Dempsey, Jordan Dempsey (Janine), Tyler Dempsey and Addie Bronkema; his great grandchildren, Jhace, Kiely, Harper Metzger, Alexandra, Elenia George and Rhema Dempsey; and his sister Marcia Voet.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grandville United Methodist Church (3140 Wilson Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
