He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Highley and Miriam Highley (Bookman); his wife Janet Highley; his son Gerald "Gerry" Highley; and his siblings, Joy Highley, Ted Highley, Fritz Highley and Nancy Keitz.
He is survived by: his daughter Beth Highley of Dryden; and his grandchildren, Jenn Highley (Kelsey) of Lansing and Jack Kaplan of Lansing.
