She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Johnson, Sr. and Lottie Isabella Johnson (Wright); her husband Lacy Steele; and her siblings, Ezra Johnson, Jr. (Velma), Jesse James Johnson, Ellenstein Johnson Hans and Lottie Mary Stewart (Fred).
She is survived by: her daughter Marché Deon Steele Heath (Phillip Walker Heath); her grandson Joshua David Heath; her granddaughter-in-law Krystalee Suyapa Heath; her godson Jordan Alexander Riely-Payne; her sibling's children, Gregory Paul Hans, Michael Steele (Portia), Priscilla Knight (Walter), Violetta Spady, Andrene Monk (Donnie), Marnita Dickerson (Timothy), Alicia Lurry (Alan) and Wanda Shamblin; and her cousin Jannel Thurman. She is also survived by family members and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Marlton Assembly of God (625 E Main St, Evesham, NJ 08053). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to organizations that were close to Dorothy Steele's heart.
