It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maureen Gatt (Royal Oak, Michigan), who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maureen Gatt to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roman Norman Banascyk and Adriana Young; her daughter Deborah; and her stepson Jeff. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Sabino; her sons, Rick and Mitch (Anne Marie); and her stepchildren, Rick and Maureen. She is also survived by spouses, her 14 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren. and, so far, 18 great-grandchildren and seven step-greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) (32515 Woodward Ave, Royal Oak, MI 48073). The lying in state will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Owen Catholic Church (6869 Franklin Rd, Bloomfield Twp, MI 48301). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
