It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Louise Astling of Ludington, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Barbara Louise's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Barbara Louise has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Golder and Lena Golder (Bartz); and her stepson Thomas Astling. She is survived by: her son Greg McCallum; and her stepchildren, Arlene Hart, Robert Astling, Terry Astling and Joseph Astling. She is also survived by seven step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hope Lutheran Church (5462 Nicholson Hill Rd, Hubbard Lake, MI 49747). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
