He was predeceased by: his daughter Heather Lynn Ode; his parents, Beryl "Bea" McDonough Ode and Philip Nerensz Ode; and his sisters, Patricia Dianne Ode and Pam Ode-Woznick.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ode; his children, Mark Ode (Tina), Marissa Pruzinsky (Danny), Bethany Eliason (Eric) and Christine DuBois (John); and his grandchildren, Ethan, Lainey, Allison, Evie, Ace, Dylan and Miles.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mandziuk & Son Funeral Directors, Inc. - Sterling Heights (3801 18 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48314). The lying in state will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the White Chapel Cemetery (621 W Long Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48098).
