He was predeceased by: his son William Wertheimer III; and his brother Tom Wertheimer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Teets; his daughter Amy Elkins; his grandchildren, Mia, Maggie, William and Elizabeth; his siblings, Jim Wertheimer, Ann Turnquist, Peggy Berry and Tim Wertheimer; and his sons, Vasu and Rodgers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the A. J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) (32515 Woodward Ave, Royal Oak, MI 48073).
