He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Carlyle Shier and Thelma May Shier (Coverdale); his brother John Wesley Shier; and his siblings-in-law, Kathrine Franz (Henry), Shirley McLarty (John), Richard Collins (Jean) and Donna Bearden (Richard).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lee (Collins); his children, Lisa Kay Naveen, Christi Lee Shier (Bill) and Scott Robert Shier (LaDonna); his family Bob; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Lee Hubbard, Nicholas Cecil Hubbard and Andrew William Hubbard; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Shier.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kaatz Funeral Directors - Yale (10 S Main St, Yale, MI 48097). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
