It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Richard Austin (Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan), who passed away on August 23, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Austin and Ruth Austin (Benson). He is survived by: his wife Linda Johnston Cairo Austin; his daughters, Christine Austin (Loren Dunn) and Katy Austin (late Jeff Mahoney); his siblings, James Austin (Donna) and Carolyn Baetz (James); his nephews, Alec Fisher (Ashley), Avery Fisher (Satoko) and David Austin (Jennifer); his stepchildren, Janine Cairo (Jeff Guzick) and Scott Cairo (Kelly); and his grandchildren, Rachel Cairo, Joshua Cairo, Luke Cairo, Lydia Cairo, Abigail Cairo, Mark Cairo, Eli Guzick and Ian Guzick.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peters Funeral Home (20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Oakview Cemetery (1032 N Main St, Royal Oak, MI 48067).
