We bid farewell to Gorjia Jarbo (Warren, Michigan), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 25, 2025 at the age of 85. Gorjia touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As we bid adieu to Gorjia's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Gorjia has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Daoud Jarbo and Wadeh Jarbo; her spouse Shakkori Jarbo; and her children, Senaa Jarbo and Hana Jarbou (late Hazim).
She is survived by: her children, Sundus Bodi (late Rox), Wafa Yaldo (Latif), Raja Jarbo (Thair), Yousif Jarbo (Amy), Rafida Zinser (John) and Rafid Jarbo (Rebecca). She is also survived by 26 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren.
A requiem service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mother of God Chaldean Catholic Church (25585 Berg Rd, Southfield, MI 48033). A committal service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48033). A vigil service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bellagio Hall (4100 E. 14 Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48092).
