It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Doom (Allen Park, Michigan), born in River Rouge, Michigan, who passed away on September 1, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Doom; and her sister JoAnne Hebert. She is survived by: her children, Robert Dow (Nancy), Bruce Doom (Elke), Mark Doom, Linda Roma (Gene) and Susan Portscheller (Tim); and her sister Jean Bruckner.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family (10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101). A rosary will be held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Constance Catholic Church (21555 Kinyon St, Taylor, MI 48180). A Mass will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
