He was predeceased by: his brother Dean Asselin (late Cindy). He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, John Asselin (Audrey), Bela Antal (Lisa), Patti Paulsen (Chris) and Brian Clemetsen (Jared); his grandchildren, Alex, Mel, Sabrina, Nikolas, Holly, Hilary, Jenny, Thomas, Ella and Jaden; his siblings, Sandee Boyd (Bob), David Asselin (Shelly) and Susie Horan (Tim); and his brothers-in-law, Roger Christian (Kimberly) and Paul Christian (Cindy). He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lewis E. Wint and Son Funeral Home (5929 S Main St, City of the Village of Clarkston, MI 48346). A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
