Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jack William Brunell (Swartz Creek, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 86, on September 8, 2025. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Jack may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his wife Glenda Kennedy; his son Kenneth; and his sisters, Jacqueline June and Marilyn Brunell. He is survived by: his children, Jerome (Frances Hernandez-Brunell) of Casa Grande, AZ and Deborah Brunell (Vic Betterly) of Houghton, MI; his daughter-in-law Kathryn Brunell of Byron; and his brother David (Nancy Rice) of Amarillo, TX. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (9450 Duffield Rd, Gaines, MI 48436).
In honor of Jack, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church.
