With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gail D. Weedon in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 13, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Gail leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Weedon and Dorothy Weedon. She is survived by: her brother George Weedon Jr. (Madeleine); her children, Jason Self (Emily), Audrey Self-Olenzek (Rick) and Lara Self; her grandchildren, Kyla, Alina Olenzek, Maeve Fogle-McLerran (Jacob) and Connor Masterson; and her great grandchild Freyja Fogle-McLerran.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Episcopal Church (2326 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48201).
