She was predeceased by: her former husband Edward Joseph Carroll; her husband Vaughn H. F. Adams; her parents, Mary Olive Steiner and Dr. Timothy Francis Lynch; her siblings, James (Joan), Terrance (Margaret) and Mary Louise Henry (John Walker); her daughter-in-law Molly Carroll; and her grandson Sam Carroll.
She is survived by: her sister Suzanne M. Lessing (Thomas); her children, Mary Beth Schmekel (Gary), Darcy Carroll, Matthew Carroll (Jenna), Daniel Carroll (Molly), Anne Crites (Don), Laura Ekenayake (Genesha) and Michael Carroll (Theresa); and her stepchildren, Paul Adams (Barbara), John Adams (Margaret), Mary Adams, Theresa Zuerblis (Bill) and James (Sandy).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Verheyden, Inc. - Grosse Pointe (16300 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230). A rosary will be held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (6021 Whittier Ave, Detroit, MI 48224). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
