With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anwar Hanoosh (Southfield, Michigan), who passed away on April 20, 2026 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Anwar Hanoosh to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Najla Naim George; his parents, Zakaria Hanoosh and Najma Abd Alahad; and his siblings, Yahia, Kawkeb, Mary, Farqad and Thukaa.
He is survived by: his family, Neil Hanoosh (Nancy) and Todd Hanoosh (Jill); his grandchildren, Lauren, Zachary, Madden, Rowan and Meadow; and his siblings, Sabah, Dhia, Munir and Souad. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Southfield Funeral Home (18338 W 12 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48076). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mother of God Chaldean Catholic Church (25585 Berg Rd, Southfield, MI 48033). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery (25800 W 10 Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48034).
