He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia Rembish and Michelle Riehl (Gerald); his children, Colleen O'Donnell (Patrick), Edward Carey (Alison Stein), Tom Carey (Michelle) and Katie Hagler (Mat); his grandchildren, Thomas Carey, Liam O'Donnell, Shane Carey, Colin O'Donnell, Cassie Hagler, Maddie Hagler and Quinn Hagler; his stepgrandchild Blair Nance; and his great grandchild Thomas Carey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Walter J. Johnson Funeral Home (803 Raritan Rd, Clark, NJ 07066). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Church of St. Joseph the Carpenter (157 E 4th Ave, Roselle, NJ 07203). An entombment will be held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 12:45 PM at the St. Gertrude Cemetery (53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067).
