It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kendall Oneal Phells in Cranford, New Jersey, who passed away on April 28, 2026, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Kendall find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maezelma and Curtis Phells; and his brother Gregory Phells. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Gagnon Phells; and his son Derek Phells of Avenel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Homes, Inc. (399 Avenel St, Avenel, NJ 07001). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 11:15 AM at the Franklin Memorial Park (1800 NJ-27, North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902).
