With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Giovina Uva of Hoboken, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 25, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Nicolo; her son Anthony; her brothers, Emilio, Mauro and Salvatore Amato; her parents, Justine and Richard Sgaramella; her son John Paul (Elizabeth); her daughter-in-law Jean Uva (late Anthony Uva); and her sister Clara Turchi.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Eleanor, Emma, Christian, Nicholas, John, AnnMarie, Stephanie and Christina. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Ann's RC Church (704 Jefferson St, Hoboken, NJ 07030). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Ann's RC Church (704 Jefferson St, Hoboken, NJ 07030).
