Sweeney of Jackson Township, New Jersey, born in Bayonne, New Jersey, who passed away at the age of 80, on August 10, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sweeney and Mary Sweeney; and his sisters, Mary Lawrence and Elizabeth Hackett. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sweeney; his children, Katherine Sweeney of Basking Ridge, NJ, Ted Sweeney (Stephanie Hendershot) of Ada, MI and Eileen Sweeney (Kenneth Dawe) of Barnegat, NJ; and his granddaughters, Charlotte, Violet and Stella Sweeney.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the George's. Hassler Funeral Home (980 Bennetts Mills Rd, Jackson Township, NJ 08527). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 9:45 AM and at 10:00 AM at the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church (935 Bennetts Mills Rd, Jackson Township, NJ 08527).
