He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Laura Matunas (Marco Medina) of Springfield, NJ and Robert (Mary Moy) of Belmont, MA; his brother James (Michelle) of Berkeley Heights, NJ; and his nephews, Jameson of Berkeley Heights, NJ and Brandon (Erin McKenna) of North Plainfield, NJ..
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home (139 Westfield Ave, Elizabeth, NJ 07208). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Graceland Memorial Park (1900 Galloping Hill Rd, Kenilworth, NJ 07033).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to the Saint Joseph Social Service Center, the Raptor Trust, or the Michael J Fox Foundation.
