We bid farewell to Jacques Richard Cornet of Closter, New Jersey, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 20, 2025 at the age of 90. Jacques touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacques Henri Cornet and Marie Antoinette; his wife Mary Lou (Aragona); and his siblings, Marie Antoinette Van Doren and Jean Cornet.
He is survived by: his children, Jacques Cornet Jr. (Jill) of New York City, Peter Cornet (Sue) of Bridgewater and Anne Cornet (Rose Labriola) of Durham; his sister Helene Clarke; and his granddaughters, Nicole, Olivia, Katie, Abby, Julie, Sarah and Sophie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 27th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Cusick Funeral Home (80 Mountain Ave, Somerville, NJ 08876). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (1890 Washington Valley Rd, Martinsville, NJ 08836).
