It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Walker Jacke of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, who passed away on August 21, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerardo Melillo and Rafaela Conforti (Fanny); her daughter Karen Jean Goldring; and her siblings, Frank Melillo, Vito Melillo, Columbia Bunucci and Josephine Ruggiero.
She is survived by: her husband John; her daughters, Donna (Michael) and Lorraine (John); and her grandchildren, Megan Peter (Damian), Gregory Winchell (Tiffany Vallo), Geoffrey Winchell (Chelsea Hoon), Adam Goldring (Kim Russo), Elizabeth Goldring (Roy Hammond), John Carroll (Bridget), Lindsey Carroll (Bob Fix) and Eric Carroll (Shannon McVannel). She is also survived by fourteen beautiful great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home (85 Riverside Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace Christian Church (1961 Wayside Rd, Tinton Falls, NJ 07724). A burial will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (100 Chapel Hill Rd, Red Bank, NJ 07701).
