With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joan M. Povoa of Belleville, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Martin and Vincenza Martin; her husband Delfim "Del"; her son Jack S.; and her brother Gilbert Martin.
She is survived by: her daughter Tina Marie Sousa (Rui); her grandchildren, Jennifer Sousa, Vincent Sousa (Melissa), Nicholas Povoa, Anthony Povoa and Marchella Povoa; and her great grandchildren, Vincenzo and Cristiano Sousa.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Megaro Memorial Home, Inc. (503 Union Ave, Belleville, NJ 07109). A Mass will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Family Church (28 Brookline Ave, Nutley, NJ 07110). A burial will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031).
