We are sad to announce that on August 31, 2025, Leonard J. Romano of Union, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Romano and Rose Romano; his wife Carolyn; his sisters, Elvira D'Amato, Rosemarie Scott and Anne Teen; his brothers-in-law, George D'Amato, Donald Tripp, Thomas Biancamano and Joseph Lazzaro; and his grandson Michael.
He is survived by: his children, Francis (Deborah) and Caroline Bogner (Steven); his grandchildren, Francis Jr. (Tarah), Anthony, Sophia and Massimo; his great grandchildren, Thomas and Vivian; his sister Frances Tripp; his sisters-in-law, Florence Biancamano, Maryann Mindek (John 'Jack') and Antionette Bruno (Pasqualino 'Pat'); his close friends, John, Barbara Pacifico, Giacomo, Joan Silvestri, Anthony, Elizabeth Santora, Robert and Patricia McCarthy; and his caregiver Alona Nolasco. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Galante Funeral Home-Union (2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083). A Mass will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the St. Michael's Church (1212 Kelly St, Union, NJ 07083). A burial will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031).
