With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jacqueline M. DeMaio of Clark, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 1, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Helen Merlo (Karanicola); her husband Anthony DeMaio Sr.; her son Anthony DeMaio Jr.; her parent Giacomo "Jack" Merlo; and her sister Catherine DeRose (Rocco).
She is survived by: her daughters, Michele DeMaio (Larry Iannaccone) and Maryellen Foley (Scott); her grandmothers, Jacqueline, Rachel Rose, Vivienne and Julia; her daughter-in-law Keara; and her brother Leonard Merlo (Gail). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walter Johnson Funeral Home (803 Raritan Rd, Clark, NJ 07066). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church (332 Madison Hill Rd, Clark, NJ 07066). An entombment will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rosedale Cemetery (355 E Linden Ave, Linden, NJ 07036).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jacqueline's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org.
