He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles C. Banta and Elizabeth Banta (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Banta (Andrus); his son Robert Banta; and his siblings, Ronald, Gary, Andrew Banta and Nancy Barbieri. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ferguson - Vernon Funeral Home (241 NJ-94, Vernon Township, NJ 07462). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Rifle Association (nra.org).
