It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Appezzato of Westfield, New Jersey, who passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Carmella Ventimiglia, Anna Urciuoli, Josephine Hannis, Lisa Ferry, Anthony and Dominick.
She is survived by: her spouse Felice "Red" Appezzato; and her son John of Rahway. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rossi Funeral Home (1937 Westfield Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Helen's Roman Catholic Church (1600 Rahway Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090). A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the St Gertrude Cemetery (53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067). A burial will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the St. Gertrude Cemetery (53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen's name may be made to the Humane Society.
