It is with sadness that the passing of James Cahill Thomson in Cranford, New Jersey is shared. James Cahill, born on June 11, 1937 in East Lansing, Michigan, passed away on June 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thomson and Mary Thomson; his brothers, Edward Thomson and Robert Thomson; his siblings-in-law, Suzanne Thomson Monahan, Phil Monahan and Theodore Wasky; and his nephews, Peter Thomson and Michael Thomson.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Janet Wasky; his sister-in-law Joan Thomson; his nieces and nephews, Mary McDowell (Bob), Gail Diver (Jim), Janet Machak (Gregg), Karen Flannery (Jeff), Christine McNally (Michael), Colleen Tucker (Bob), Kelly Freitag (Todd), Ted Wasky (Mary), Bob Thomson (Tina), David Thomson (Kathleen) and Rob Thomson (Kerry); and his friend William Powers (Bill).
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Saint Anselm (1028 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls).
