She is survived by: her spouse Carmen "Charlie" Tato; her children, NJ, Joseph (Eda), Maryrose (William Armstrong) and Joanne (Steven Helmstetter); her grandchildren, Margaret Tato McCartan (Will), Emily Tato DeMarco (Brad), Patrick Armstrong (Dallas), Courtney Armstrong (Joseph Irwin), Jon Helmstetter (Kayla) and Nick Helmstetter; her caregiver Helen; and her great grandchildren, Lily, Annie McCartan, William, Evelyn, Katherine, Thomas Armstrong, Sage Rose Irwin, Penelope, Madelyn Helmstetter and DeMarco.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Galante Funeral Home-Union (2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd 2026 from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Michael Church (1212 Kelly St, Union, NJ 07083). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd 2026 at the St. Teresa Cemetery (136 Passaic Ave, Summit, NJ 07901).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
