Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Dorothy Grace Nelms of Palestine, Texas, who passed away at the age of 90, on January 3, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Tony Lee Land and Dora Mae Batson Land; her husband L. D. Nelms; and her siblings, Tony Lee Land, Jr., Edwin Land, Bessie Nelda Land and Carolyn Nolte.
She is survived by : her children, Larry Wayne Nelms (Senette) of Palestine, Joe Charles Nelms (Denise) of Lake Tyler and Becky Lohmeyer (Harris Lohmeyer); and her grandchildren, Leslie Nelms, Wade Nelms, Lindsay Gray, Elizabeth Bolton, Todd Nelms, Clint Lohmeyer and Kellie Wilbanks. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Memories Cemetery (105 Howell Rd, Elkhart, TX 75839).
