It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Pickering of Texarkana, Texas, who passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Pickering to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Nettie Pickering and Ivey Pickering; his wife Pansy Pickering; and his former life partner Glenice Schraw. He is survived by : his sons, Darrel Pickering (Jean Anne), Danny Pickering (Kelly) and Bryan Pickering (Jackie); and his grandchildren, Kara Groves (James), Rustin Pickering (Taryn), Caitlin Simpson (Kolton), Jason Pickering (Nicole), Dylan Pickering and Keaton Pickering. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapelwood Funeral Home (1015 N Kings Hwy, Nash, TX 75569). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
