She was predeceased by : her daughter Kayla Marie Dawson; her parents, Claudie Ray Gruben, Sr. and Billie Jo Essary Gruben; her siblings, Sherry Kay Gruben, Claudie Ray Gruben, Jr. and Epkie Lee Gruben; and her siblings-in-law, Connie Dawson, Dian Dawson, David Dawson and Marvin Dawson.
She is survived by : her husband Gary Dawson; her sons, Darryl Don Dawson (Jackie) of Ft. Worth, TX and John Tyler Dawson (Bailey) of Lubbock, TX; her grandchildren, Kamarie Elizabeth Dawson, Bodey Wyatt Bartlett, Arlissa Dawson, Justin Dawson and Quincey Dawson; and her brother Carl Gruben (Jan) of Brownwood, TX. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brownfield Funeral Home (120 W Tate St, Brownfield, TX 79316). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
