She was predeceased by : her parents, Rollie Elvington and Alice Elvington (Solomon); her former life partner Jimmy Strickland; her daughters, Deborah Strickland and Duckworth; her granddaughter Robin Meyers; her husband Jerry Shaw; and her son-in-law Mark Dodd.
She is survived by : her daughters, Teresa Dodd, Linda Carter (Dennis), Michelle Strickland and Elizabeth Shaw Mayfield; and her brothers, Bobby Elvington (Deanna) and Billy Elvington (Karen). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The lying in state will be held on Friday, January 19th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors - Hillsboro (2495 Corsicana Hwy, Hillsboro, TX 76645). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Boulevard Baptist Church (315 N Burleson Blvd, Burleson, TX 76028). A burial will be held on Saturday, January 20th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Whitney Memorial Park (510 S Bosque St, Whitney, TX 76692).
