With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Jean Wimberley of Orange, Texas, born in Texarkana, Arkansas, who passed away on January 24, 2024 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruby Jean Wimberley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by : her husband Jerry Wimberley; and her granddaughter Jessica Horton (Sean Horton). She is survived by : her sons, Mark Wimberley (Dianna), James Wimberley (Suzy) and Robert Wimberley (Pam); her grandchildren, Karaline Wimberley, Jeremy Wimberley, Sydney Hooker (Gary), Katelynn Garza (Garrett), Dalton Wimberley and Grace Wimberley; and her brother Carl Mozingo. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1st 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Claybar Funeral Home (504 5th St, Orange, TX 77630, USA). A vigil service will be held on Thursday, February 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:40 PM at the same location. A rosary will be held on Thursday, February 1st 2024 from 1:40 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
During her illustrious career Ruby received numerous awards such as the "50 Year Banker" from the Texas Bankers Foundation and the Athena Leadership Award for Orange County.
