With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel (Goates) Owen of De Leon, Texas, who passed away on January 26, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Andrew Alexander Goates and Mary Verene Palmour Goates; her children, Charles Owen (Cindy) and Tjwanah Schwartz (Donald); her grandchildren, Stephanie Mitchell (Michael), Andrea Wiggins (Hank), Erin Landrum (Ben), Audra Kocian (Steve), Jennifer Leydon (Patrick), Callie Alexander (Cory) and Heather Armstrong (Josiah); and her great grandchildren, Zachary, Hayden Mitchell, Hannah, Olivia Belle, Cora, Lyla Armstrong, Savanna Wiggins, Bree, Tyler Moland, Abigail Kocian, Callon, Carter Alexander, Sophia Leydon and Caleb Feldman. She was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nowlin Anders Funeral Home (340 S Austin St, De Leon, TX 76444). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joe Baptist Church (621 Hwy 2921, De Leon, TX 76444).
