He was predeceased by : his former life partner Erma Pounds; and his brothers, Minor Pounds and Neil Pounds. He is survived by : his sister Ninnette; his wife Carolyn Day Pounds; his sons, Denny (Kandy Pounds), David (Cindy Pounds) and Drue (Chris Pounds); his grandchildren, Tyler, Carli Pounds, Taylor Pounds, Torri, Mitch Funk, Tara Lynn Pounds, Trevor, Jordan Pounds, Cody Pounds, Bradley, Caroline Pounds, Preston, Mallory Pounds, Abby Pounds, Jack Pounds, Lane, Melanie Kennedy, Blake Kennedy and Jaython Weaver; his great grandchildren, Cooper Pounds, Hallie Pounds, Avery Pounds, Ryan Pounds, Sage Pounds and Butch Boydstun; and also, Jennifer, Jud Weaver, Jodie, Cory McFadden and Ninnette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Heartland Funeral Home (303 Early Blvd, Early, TX 76802). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 5th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church (1815 Coggin Ave, Brownwood, TX 76801).
