She was predeceased by : her parents, Mary Louise and Charles Steinman; her husband Clarence Vanderwey (Van); and her siblings, Mary Anaya, Ruth Thomas and Charles Steinman.
She is survived by : her son Jeff Ayers; her grandchildren, Alicea Ann Ayers, Kruz, Myles and Marshall Wilson; and her sister Martha Savoy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 5th 2024 at 10:15 AM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
