Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Cecilia Dorothy Gurka of Navasota, Texas, born in Anderson, Texas, who passed away at the age of 83, on February 6, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, Martin Kapchinski and Carrie Kapchinski; her husband Steve Gurka, Sr.; and her sons, Randy Gurka and Rickey Gurka.
She is survived by : her children, Steve Gurka, Jr. (Linda), Danny Gurka (Marla) and Judy LeFlore (Jimmy); her siblings, Max Kapchinski (Barbara) and Angelean Tomczak; her sister-in-law Delores Gurka Lane; and her grandsons, Rodney Sechelski, Tyler Gurka, Peyton LeFlore, Stephen Gurka III, Kevin Gurka and Brian Gurka. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 8th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Nobles Funeral Chapel (402 Blackshear St, Navasota, TX 77868). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 8th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A mass was held on Friday, February 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church (1511 TX-90, Anderson, TX 77830).
