We are sad to announce that on February 18, 2024, at the age of 49, John Thomas Elia of Flint, Texas, born in Longview, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his grandparents, William Raymond, Leola Ruth Elia, Pete and Evelyn Pitt; and his great-grandparent Ella Victoria Elia.
He is survived by : his wife Summer Elia; his children, Kalle Alana Elia, Trinity Diane Elia and John Trenton Elia; his step-children, Marissa Renee Gonzales and Marcus Ray Gonzales; his grandchildren, Presley Rae Sowell, Ezra Glen Randall and Hadley Ray Carpenter; his parents, Tommy Dale Elia and Rose Mary Elia; and his sister Catherine Davis (Will). He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tyler Memorial Funeral Home (12053 TX-64, Tyler, TX 75704). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 23rd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Carroll Springs Cemetery.
John was proud to be the 2016 Tyler Heart Walk Survivor, who led the walk that hundreds gathered to attend and raise funds for the American Heart Association.
