It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Margaret Whitaker (Dickinson, Texas), born in Lonaconing, Maryland, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Connor and Mary Connor (Elkins); her husband Louis Whitaker; her siblings, Verna Bittinger (Connor) and Ronnie Connor; her daughter Karen Unger (Jimmie); her grandchildren, Scott Martin (Laura) and Julie Unger (Debra Carter); and her great grandchild Hunter Butler.
She is survived by : her children, Kathy Martin of Santa Fe, Mary Ann Jones of Pearland, Mike Whitaker and Jay Whitaker of Santa Fe; her sister Jo Ann Waddell (Connor); her grandchildren, Jessica, Brent, Jimmy, Cindy, Jayson, Michelle and Amy; her great grandchildren, Madison, Kennedy, Taylor, Justin, Tyler, Laney, Garrett, Sydney, Kara, Ryan, Cole, Bret, Nathan and Carter; her great great grandchild Josie; and also Cindy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crowder Funeral Home (851 Farm to Market 517 Rd W, Dickinson, TX 77539). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hayes Grace Memorial Park.
