It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janis Ruth Jackson Fries of Tyler, Texas, born in Fort Worth, Texas, who passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Marshall Fouch Jackson and Dollene Bailey Jackson; and her son Jerry Marshall Fries. She is survived by : her husband Charles Fries; her daughter Kathy Fries; her grandsons, Samuel Fries and Jackson Fries; her brother Ronnie Jackson (Janie) of Hurst; and her nieces and nephews, Keith Jackson (Andrea), Lauri Ballard (Will), Lisa Summy (Jon) and Lindsay Jackson Beasley (Tony Beasley).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 29th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Stewart Family Funeral Home (7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler, TX 75703). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
The family requests that any memorials be given in her name to Hospice of East Texas who provided excellent care in the final days of her life.
