With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Deryl Dalby of Dallas, Texas, born in Daingerfield, Texas, who passed away on February 29, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, John Henry and Oletta Hampton Dalby; and his siblings, Betty Martin (Bill) and Richard H. Dalby. He is survived by : his wife Gerry Lynn; his nephews, Billy John Martin (Jackie) of Texarkana and Walter Martin (Jill) of Hughes Springs; his great-nephews, Paul Martin (Marsha) of Magnolia, TX, Brian Martin (Crysten) of Daingerfield and Terry Runk (Kristy) of Daingerfield; and his great-niece Nichole Waddill (Chris) of Texarkana. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Park Cities Baptist Church (3933 Northwest Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75225). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, March 13th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
