She was predeceased by : her parents, Doris Tarver Platt and Ellis Platt; her former life partner Kenneth Powell; her brother Shelton Platt; and her granddaughter Monica Hegwood.
She is survived by : her husband Marvin DuBose; her children, Kenny Powell (Susan) of Weatherford, Cathy Hegwood (Joe) of Bryan, Cindy Sherrick (Aaron) of Lumberton, LaNell McDaniel (Russell) of Beaumont and Wayne DuBose (Carolyn) of Diboll; her grandchild Lauren Randall (Raymond) of Kerens; her children, Brian Powell (Alex) of Liberty Hill, Jenny Sims (Scott) of Dickson, Oklahoma, Kara Hegwood of Austin, Cori Pacanins (Chris) of Vancouver, Washington, Cole Hegwood (Paisely) of Vancouver, Washington, Josh Cheney (Meagan) of Beaumont, Amanda Hutchens (John) of Lexington, Kentucky, Neal Bost (Erin) of Thousand Oaks, California, Stephen Bost (Michelle) of Livingston, Thomas Bost, Michaela of Santa Monica, California, Tyler DuBose (Caitlyn) of Diboll, Austin DuBose (Kristen) of Lufkin, Crystal Moulds (Dustin) of Lumberton, Howard Sherrick of Silsbee, Kathryn McDaniel of San Marcos and Kyle McDaniel of Austin; and her great grandchild Holden Hegwood. She is also survived by twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Family and Friends Broussard's Mortuary (490 Cemetery Rd, Silsbee, TX 77656). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Broussard's Mortuary (490 Cemetery Rd, Silsbee, TX 77656). A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Broaddus Cemetery (490 Cemetery Rd, Silsbee, TX 77656).
